What is right-skilling?

Many people online are talking about skilling, reskilling & upskilling.

What they actually mean is “corporate reskilling” from the perspective of your employer, often large companies with corporate education. What is much more important however is right-skilling for you as a person to survive this crisis. You need honest work and learning advice. To be able to start relevant right-skilling activities and on-demand learning activities that are ‘right’ for you. Not for them.

What is right-skilling?

The New Normal Economy requires “right-skilling” for all of us individuallly. What is right-skilling?

acquiring the right skills at the right moment (Just-In-Time) to fill the gaps between your current skills and the skills you need in the future to continue working in the environment you currently work or want to work in the future.

In right-skilling, digital right-skilling plays an important role. And here again, corporate digital right-skilling is not the same thing as digital right-skilling for digital entrepreneurs. 

In any case, you need to understand the future roles and skills you need, and how to transition into these new roles in The New Normal Economy. Including a a different personal right-killing plan and on-demand learning program  if you want to become an entrepreneur with the right digital skills.
